My Little Spelunker

"Get in the cave daddy...get in the cave!" That's Alexandra's favorite phrase as of late. All weekend long we've been building caves - between the glider and the ottomon, between the couch and the coffee table, over her crib, even just laying in the bed. (Wait, is it laying or lying? I can NEVER keep those two straight!)

Caves, forts, tents - why do children have that fascination? Is it the feeling of comfort we all crave? Or perhaps it's more of an independence thing - this is my own little place.

Wherever you are right now, I hope it's comfortable, I hope it's where you feel safe and cozy.

Peek-A-Boo - I See You!

May your week be blessed!
Cheers!
Dee Dee

She is exploring new things and before children were born they were in that comfortable cave, warm and secure. Alee is spunky and I know where that comes from. Enjoy the caving expeditions.

What fun! To be young and build caves :) I'd probably be claustrophobic now :)

Have a wonderful week and thanks for the smile.

I'm just in from a cold arena (son's hockey game)and getting ready to climb into bed with a hot cup of tea...but oh my, I think playing cave and climbing under the "tent" would be fun!! I remember doing that as a child and loving it and my boys loved to do that too...I think it's independence and cocooning...being safe, having boundaries and a love of hide & seek!! Looks like a lot of fun Dee Dee!!
